There’s a good deal of cash to be won this week on DraftKings including a top prize of $25k from the tournament. DK also has a lot of Qualifier competitions available this week, where the final event will pay $50k into 1st if you did qualify to play inside. I will be chasing those as well because we’ve not ever had a $50k 1st place prize and I want it. We didn’t have one fight fall off but we still have a 13-fight card. This is a great card to construct your bankroll to get the first Sunday of NFL so it’s possible to pursue that $1M.
Money Game play of this week — Zabit Magomedsharipov ($9,400)
Zabit is going to be super chalky in tournament. Everyone who had Shevchenko in their lineup will change to Zabit and that he will likely be the most owned fighter on the slate. In cash games we don’t really care about possession as much and I am going to be starting my money team with Zabit. I think he is the simplest triumph on the card and he has the highest ceiling too. I think if you want to get sneaky and not use Zabit, the GPPs are the place to do this. Lock him and choose the easy triumph. Then you just need to find about 3 additional wins and you ought to possess a winning cash group.
GPP drama of the week — Alex White ($8,600)
I think Jim Miller is close to the finish of his profession and I am presuming this is going to be the last time we see him in the UFC. I believe he is going to be given his 5th loss in a row and I am guessing it will be through knockout. I think Alex White is going to be too powerful and fast for Jim Miller at this phase in his career and I believe he will be able to keep this battle on the toes. With everyone paying for Zabit in GPPs, Alex White and some other mid-range favorites could be a fantastic way to go to make your lineups more contrarian and attempt to get 1st place in a GPP like that. I really do like White a good bit in this struggle and I think he has 100+ point possible at an $8.6k salary. He is my GPP play of the week.
Underdog play of this week — Diego Sanchez ($7,300)
Diego Sanchez is my underdog play of the week because I don’t think Craig White is any good. Sanchez may be completely shot, and if that is the case he can get KO’d early. However, I don’t think Craig White should be -200 against any UFC fighter. Diego is cheap enough where it lets you get some of those higher favorites you like in your lineup, and I think he can get a decision win here. He’ll be my pick to win, but it’s not a confident pick and I believe he makes for a better GPP play than cash punt.
Fade of the week — Aljamain Sterling ($8,500)
I am excited about watching this battle and I will be choosing Aljo to get the win here. My issue is that I do not believe he is quite likely to score highly, and maybe not even 10x his salary. I believe a whole lot of this fight will happen on the feet and Aljo doesn’t throw at a high enough pace to score well in a match that is spectacular. He’ll have to get this battle to the floor a few times and rack up some progress points for him to score highly. I don’t see this occurring. I think this is going to be a very close fight and I’d rather just pay up for any of the fighters over Sterling. I believe we’d be taking a look at a score about 70-75 DK points using an Aljo choice win here.
